KC Contributes "Sushi Lover" CD to Cancer Fighting Cause

Along with 100 Canadian artists and 99 artists from other parts of the world such as the U.K., Ireland, the U.S., Australia, etc., I mailed in a $5 contribution and a "Sushi Lover" CD to help raise funds for brain cancer patient, Kent Pankow of Alberta, Canada. The Canadian government refuses to grant approval for the drug, Avastin that can help treat Kent's brain cancer. In Canada, this drug has been approved for treatment for other cancers EXCEPT BRAIN CANCER.
Other Canadian cancer patients receive Avastin at no cost, while brain cancer patients in Canada are excluded from receiving this life-sustaining treatment. Kent and his family are paying $9,100 (Canadian Dollars)/per month for this cancer treatment, which is an outrage! Imagine having to raise $9,100/month just for medicine! Brain cancer patients should have the same rights to treatment as those with other forms of cancer. If you're on Facebook, more information about this fundraiser can be found here:

It is important to build international awareness of making cancer drugs available to those that need them.
My CD will be included in a CD GIFT BAG, which will be raffled off at a public event hosted by the musicians who support this campaign to help raise funds to pay for Kent's medical treatments. It's a very big deal! I hope something can be done to help Kent and his family who are facing bankruptcy.
